Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the College of Sport Psychologists was held in Hobart on Wednesday 24th September 2008, during the APS Annual Conference. A new National Committee was elected - see National Committee for details.

The College organised a number of high-quality sessions at the APS Annual Conference, including a challenging invited presentation by Prof Mark Andersen, entitled "perfomance psychology: Pulling the plug on a terminal patient".

Advance notice that the 2009 conference will be held in Brisbane, from 14 - 17 October. The annual conference often presents a range of high-quality symposia, fora and platform papers, and the Brisbane conference promises to be no exception. The College AGM will be held at this conference in 2009.

Asian South Pacific Association of Sport Psychology

The website for our regional association is now live, at http://aspasp.org/default.htm. Please note that members of COSP are automatically members of ASPASP.

International Congress of Applied Psychology (ICAP), 2010

The next Congress of the International Association of Applied Psychology will be held in Melbourne in July 2010. ICAP is one of the world's largest psychological confderences,a nd up to 5000 delegates are expected to come to Melbourne. The Sport Psychology division of IAAP is planning a high quality program, so this event is one to look forward to.
