  • Preventing Suicide: A toolkit for Mental Health Services
    This National Institute for Mental Health (UK) toolkit offers professionals and managers involved in mental health care a guide for measuring existing practice against the standards recommended in the Report into Suicide and Homicide by People with Mental Illness. Each standard from the report is outlined, and recommended procedure described. There is also an extensive list of resources provided to assist in developing positive practice.

    This professional peer reviewed publication and data archive is dedicated to the enhancement of program development, evaluation and innovations in mental health and substance abuse treatment programs worldwide. It was created in 1996 by practitioners, scholars and consumers with a forum to publish and discuss their work in program development, evaluation research, policy innovations, and therapeutic practices that have been successful in their particular region and cultures. Articles on psychosocial interventions, psychopharmacotherapy, mental health primary care, institutional and community care innovations, decentralization, policy changes, community & regionally based systems, and program evaluation are given particular attention.

    The Journal of Sports Science and Medicine (JSSM) is a non-profit making scientific electronic journal, publishing research and review articles, together with case studies, in the fields of sports medicine and the exercise sciences. JSSM is published quarterly in March, June, September and December. JSSM also publishes editorials, a "letter to the editor" section, abstracts from international and national congresses, panel meetings, conferences and symposia, and can function as an open discussion forum on significant issues of current interest.   • Eating disorders: core interventions in the treatment and management of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and related eating disorders
    UK January 2004 guideline from the National Institute for Clinical Excellence and the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health on care of people with eating disorders. It covers core interventions and applies to adults, adolescents and children from the age of eight. The guideline makes recommendations for the identification, treatment and management of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and atypical eating disorders (including binge eating disorder).
